Privacy policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026.

The Fibromyalgia Center, led by Dr. Shelleg Dvorkin, respects the privacy of this website's users. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and which parties it may be shared with, when you use the site and the sign-up form for updates.

The controller of the personal information collected through this website is Dr. Shelleg Dvorkin, a sole proprietor operating The Fibromyalgia Center. For privacy-related inquiries: info@fibro-center.co.il.

Providing your details in the sign-up form is entirely your choice, and there is no legal obligation to do so. You can browse the site without signing up for updates. Your email address is required to receive updates; providing your first name is optional. Completing the sign-up also requires choosing at least one update type (updates about the center's opening and/or occasional emails with professional content) — this choice is also your consent to receive that update type — and a delivery language (pre-selected based on the page's own language, and changeable). We also collect a general source for the sign-up (for example the homepage, the content library, an article, or a video — without recording which specific article or video). We do not collect medical information, symptoms, documents, or a date of birth through this form; please do not send such information through the form.

Alongside these details, we also keep a technical record of when you signed up, which update types you chose, and the wording of the consent you were shown at that time — so there is a record of when and to what you agreed, as is standard practice for managing mailing lists. The information you provide is used to send you the updates you chose, to keep that consent record, and to prevent automated sign-ups (see the Cloudflare Turnstile paragraph below). We do not sell or share your details with third parties for marketing purposes.

The sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that a sign-up is being made by a person and not automated software. For this purpose, the service may process technical information from your browser or device (such as your IP address), in accordance with Cloudflare's privacy policy.

When you submit the form, your details are processed by the site's server, which runs on Vercel's infrastructure, and are passed from there to Smoove to manage the sign-up and the mailing. We also use Vercel both to host the site and to collect basic site-usage measurement, as detailed in the next paragraph. The site's own content (articles, videos, page settings) is managed separately through Sanity (a content-management system) — the sign-up form's details are not sent to it.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how our website is used and to improve its content and user experience. The service provides aggregate statistics, such as visits and page views, pages viewed, referral sources, approximate geographic location, and device and browser type. The service does not use cookies for this measurement. We do not send it the details you enter in the sign-up form or link analytics data to your mailing-list record.

This site itself does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Your browser may store local technical information (localStorage) to remember the accessibility preferences you chose in the floating accessibility menu (such as text size or contrast) — this information is kept only on your own device and is never sent to us. Article and video pages may embed a YouTube player; it only loads after you click the play button yourself, and from that point on, YouTube/Google's own privacy and cookie policy applies to that player only. Technical tools meant only for content editors (draft-preview tooling) may use a temporary technical cookie while in use — this cookie is never active for an ordinary site visitor.

On retention: your active mailing details (email, name if given, update type, and delivery language) are kept for as long as you're subscribed to at least one update type; the consent record (when and what wording you agreed to) may be kept even after you stop receiving emails, for record-keeping and legal-compliance purposes; and minimal information needed to honor a request you made (such as an unsubscribe request) may also be kept. Stopping delivery, on its own, is not the same as deleting your stored details.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in each email or by contacting info@fibro-center.co.il. To request deletion of your email address and sign-up details from our mailing system, please contact us at the same address. We will handle your request in accordance with applicable law; if any information needs to be retained, we will explain what is retained and why. You may also contact us to request access to or correction of the information we hold about you.

Some of the services we use (Smoove, Cloudflare, Vercel, Sanity) are international cloud services, so information may be processed or stored on servers outside Israel, in accordance with each provider's own privacy policy.

This policy may be updated from time to time; the date of the most recent update appears at the top of this page.
